I’ve recently been released from carbonite. My life was literally frozen for about two and a half weeks as my in-laws stayed in our house. I love my in-laws, really, but we’ve discovered that our house just is not conducive to more than like three people at a time over extended periods. So, for the second time in a month I feel like I just woke up from one of those dreams where everything is happening super fast and I can’t move.
I’m back to school and writing like mad. I just finished a short paper for a conference I’m going to in November. It’s about how women’s bodies circulate in online environments. I feel pretty good about it. I’ll post it on one of my pages here. I actually have two other papers to write in the next couple months in addition to possibly submitting an article to an anthology. So, perhaps this blog will go back to being what it was originally intended to be: a blog about my work.
My thoughts on the circulation of bodies in cyberspace have recenlty been influenced by my participation in an online TTC (trying to conceive) forum. Yes, Scott and I are trying to add a third member to our family, but because of school and my desire to be finished in a timely fashion we have a three month window of opportunity. I’ve been researching the hell out of this and know way more about the inner workings of my reproductive organs than most human beings. If any of you are thinking of having babies I highly recommend checking out a pregnancy website and going to the bulletin boards. They are totally fascinating.
All for now!
